- Julia Spink set up Lumina Business Solutions Ltd in 1999 to provide high quality cost-effective qualitative research to UK and international research buyers. Julia completed a combined degree in psychology, biology and sociology then moved into the market research world where she has worked for 30 years. She has been a client researcher at SmithKline Beecham (now GSK) and Gillette, working closely on pan-European and global brand strategy/development/communications in the latter company.
- Her international perspective was further developed as managing director of Frank Small International research agency in Indonesia for three years. Julia has also lived in the Netherlands. In the UK in the 1990s as managing director of Pegram Walters International, she developed the company into a 12-person operation, working with a broad portfolio of major global companies.
Julia is an active Member of AQR (Association of Qualitative Research) in the UK and of QRCA (Qualitative Research Consultants Association) internationally.
Historically Julia’s experience has included responsibility for commissioning and conducting UK and multinational studies on a wide range of business sectors including healthcare, technology, leisure, food and drink and many others.
Julia is a highly experienced facilitator of focus groups and workshops. Online research has featured in Lumina’s work since this first became a marketing tool in the US and then across Europe.
