LISA STEADMAN
Brief Bio
Lisa is a commercially minded, independent qualitative research specialist. She has over 30 years’ experience in the industry.
After graduating with a Business Degree from the University of Westminster where she majored in marketing and research methods, Lisa knew a career in research was right for her. Having worked at a medical publishing company during her gap year, Lisa experienced first- hand the impact research could have in informing and strategically directing some of the biggest pharmaceutical companies in the world.
Securing her first job on the Graduation Training Scheme at NOP, Lisa was fortunate enough to be trained in both qualitative and quantitative research methods but, it was in qualitative research where her passion grew. Two more agency roles helped to hone her project and client management skills alongside her depth of qualitative research knowledge and it was time to set up her own agency. She successfully ran that business for almost 15 years until the pandemic came. Circumstances changed and Lisa decided not to be deterred by a global shutdown but instead, to launch her second business, this time as a freelancer.
Since then, Lisa has continued to work globally either direct to clients or by supporting international agencies in the UK market.
Lisa believes that the starting point for any successful research project is in the development of strong client relationships. Her clients appreciate her down to earth style, her willingness to listen and learn and her determination to deliver the best possible research whilst having some fun along the way.
Her passion is in understanding people which this drives all aspects of her research. She works hard ensure she asks the right questions, listens carefully and builds a rapport that allows for greater understanding and empathy. Identifying an unmet need that will help organisations deliver the right products and services to their consumers, shoppers or members defines success.
